Below a list of important information for you as a participant at the World Championships  

 

At the stadium:

Cafeteria:
There is a cafeteria at the stadium where it’s possible to buy coffee, breakfast, lunch etc.

Collars:
Only chain-collars are allowed to be used during training at the field, and during the WCC.

Cropped Ears:
Dogs with cropped ears born after the 1st of July 2009 regardless which country the dog is born, is NOT allowed to participate in the World Championships in Denmark due to the Danish regulations.
Dogs with cropped ears born before the 1st of July 2009 are only allowed to participate, if the dog is born in a country where this is allowed. Please be aware on the regulations above regarding the docked tails! 

Docked tails:
Dogs with docked tails born after the 1st of June 1996, regardless which country this dog is born, is NOT allowed to participate in the World Championships in Denmark due to the Danish Regulations.
Dogs born after 1st of June 1996 with a naturally short tail and this is stated in the pedigree or in an official veterinarian declaration, are allowed to participate in the World Championships.

Docked tails:
The organizers of the BWC have asked the Danish Ministry of Justice for dispensation for the regulations on docked tails.
We have received the answer and the Ministry of Justice will not approve this on a general basic.
If so you want to participate with a dog with docked tail – you are requested to seek permission directly to the Ministry of Justice in Denmark.
Please contact Ditte Ruud via email for information on references, mail etc.
Please note that a permission only are given in very special situations by the Ministry of Justice.

Entrance at the stadium:
As participant you have free access to the stadium and will receive one guest ticket as well.
For others there will be an entry fee of 30 DKK for one day and 50 DKK for both days

Important papers to bring:
Pedigree, EU Pass port for your dog, pet insurance, Pedigree, Working Certificate, book of results for your dog

Payment at the stadium:
Please be aware that it’s only possible to pay with Danish Currency when you are at the stadium

 Picking up after your dog:
We kindly ask you to pick up after your dog no matter where you are. Also in the surroundings around the stadium.  

Veterinary rules:
The dog must be vaccinated against distemper and parvo. Foreign dogs must also be vaccinated against rabies according to Danish legislation. Documentation for vaccination must be brought to the WCC. Puppies under the age of 3 months must not be brought to the WCC. The dogs that are participating must be in good mental and physical health condition and not show any signs of illness. The participants pays for any treatment undertaken by the WCC veterinarian. The participant must, however, have approved the treatment in advance.

 Working Certificate:
The dog must have a working certificate to enter in IPO2 or IPO3

 

During your stay: 

Dogswim:
If you need to keep your dog in shape during your stay here in DK – the possibility is to take your dog to Dogswim. The swim is located at Holmenevej 19, 3140 Ålsgårde (very close to the stadium). You can reach Dogswim at phone no +45 40 60 04 18 for reservation. You can take a look at the website www.dogswim.dk – but the text is only in Danish – but it can give you an idea on the facilities there.

Resting your dogs
At the stadium and on the parking fields we kindly ask you to keep your dogs on the leach.
If you want to take a trip to enjoy the fantastic nature in the area there are several forests where dogs are allowed to run free.

Also on the beaches around Hornbaek and on the coast from Hornbaek to Helsingoer and from Helsingoer towards Copenhagen it’s allowed to let the dogs run free.

Flags:
Bring your own flag for your country. For both the Parade and the Flagpole.

Training possibilities
It’s possible to train at the field for the competition on Thursday – but please note that the cafeteria is not open on Thursday.
On Friday there will be official training.
If you want to train before Thursday you are more than welcome to use the field at DCH Nivå (Nivae), Møllevej (Moellevej) 14, 2970 Nivå (Nivae),15 mins drive from Helsingør (Helsingoer)

Important information to the BWC 2011 participants

Below a lot of information that we hope you will find helpful for your upcoming stay in Denmark as well as for the BWC:

At the stadium
At the stadium and on the parking fields we kindly ask you to keep your dogs on the leach.

Cafeteria
The Cafeteria at the stadium is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
It’s possible – to fair prices –to buy breakfast, lunch, chocolate, fruit, coffee, tea, soda, water, beer and wine.
The payment at the cafeteria is to be done in Danish currency.

Collars
Only chain-collars are allowed to be used during training at the field, and during the BWC.
Use of electronic devises of any kind and pinch collars are prohibited.

Dogs in heat
If your dog is in heat at the BWC please inform us immediately.

Dogswim – for Bouviers at the BWC
On Wednesday the 26th of October 2011 the local Dogswim www.dogswim.dk is booked for Bouviers from 13.00 - ? (depending on the number of dogs)

Booking shall be made 2 days before, but if there are time available off course it’s possible to book the day before or on the day. Coffe/tea and cake will be served for you J 
Off course it’s also possible to book time for swimming all other days, this is just yet another occasion to be together with other Bouvier-owners..
Prizes for swimming:
15 mins swim DKR 150 - € 21
30 mins swim DKR 225 - € 30
Payment: Cash EURO or DKK

Please note that there will be a lottery – drawing on both Saturday and Sunday and the main prize is a one night Hotel Stay in Copenhagen!

Flags
We kindly ask one representative from each country to bring your own flag for your country to be used at the Flagpole (flagpole is approx. 4 meters high).

Keeping your dog in shape
We do know the fact that it’s important to keep your dog in shape during your stay here, especially if you arrive some days before the BWC:

·        Forests: a lot of the forests in the area are “dog friendly” – so it’s possible to have your dog off leash when walking in the forest. Please look after the signs entering the forests.

·        Beach: Also on the beaches around Hornbaek and on the coast from Hornbaek to Helsingoer and from Helsingoer towards Copenhagen it’s allowed to let the dogs run free.

·        Open area – fenced: If you prefer to have your dog off leach in a fenced area this is possible at “Hedvig’s Hundecenter” (shop for dogs and cats). The center is located at Borsholmvej 39 B, 3000 Helsingør (also very close to the stadium). A small walk is – according to Hedvig’s website – free of charge – but for longer walks/plays there is a fee of DKK 30,00.

Parking
The main parking area at the stadium is for participants at the BWC.
Guests are requested to park at a parking area close to the stadium (will be marked with signs).

We kindly ask you to pick up after your dog no matter where you are. Also in the surroundings around the stadium and at the tracking fields. 

Training possibilities
The field is open for training already on Thursday!
Please note that cafeteria is not open on Thursday as well as the organizers of the BWC will be occupied with preparations for the BWC.

The official training is Friday, according to separate schedule. The helpers will be at the field on Friday, and are available for the participating dogs.

If you want to train from Monday morning to Thursday you are more than welcome to use the field at DCH Nivå (Nivae), Møllevej (Moellevej) 14, 2970 Nivå (Nivae),15 mins drive from Helsingør (Helsingoer). Please note that the same regulation on use of Collars (as mentioned above) is also to be followed here at this training field.

Tracking fields for training – please contact Ditte Ruud (bouvier@carmsons.dk or 045 40 92 20 92) for more information if you want to use tracking fields for training before the BWC.

Veterinary rules/Vaccinations

The participant must, however, have approved the treatment in advance.
